Privacy Policy

1. Privacy Principles

FotoDocxel is designed to perform image capture, AI-based optical character recognition (OCR), document layout analysis, and conversion to editable Word (DOCX) and Excel (XLSX) files on the user's device.

No FotoDocxel-specific user account is required. We do not ask users to register their name, address, telephone number, or email address to use the App.

We do not upload images, recognized document text, or converted files to our servers for document recognition or conversion. Advertising and purchase-related data are addressed separately below.

2. Photos, Documents, and Converted Files

The App recognizes printed text, tables, and document layouts from photos taken or selected by users and generates editable DOCX or XLSX files. These operations occur on the device. We do not collect or store original images, recognized document content, or generated files on our servers.

Saved files remain on the user's device or another destination selected by the user. If the user shares a file through the App’s sharing function or another available sharing feature, the file is passed to the selected recipient or service. The recipient's or service's terms and privacy policy may then apply.

3. Settings Stored on the Device

The App may store settings and status information locally as needed to operate.

• Display and operational preferences
• DOCX and XLSX output preferences
• Purchase and entitlement status for FotoDocxel Pro
• Other settings necessary to provide App features

These are local application data, not a membership database maintained by us.

4. Advertising Services

The free version of the App may use third-party advertising services. Advertising providers may collect advertising identifiers, IP addresses, device and app information, and information about ad display and interactions for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention.

We do not send photos selected or captured with FotoDocxel, recognized text, or generated documents to advertising providers for ad targeting. Each advertising provider's privacy policy and related terms apply to data processed by that provider.

Advertising and related data handling are subject to applicable law, device settings, and consent choices where required.

5. In-App Purchases

FotoDocxel Pro one-time purchases and subscriptions are processed and managed through the billing system of the app store or payment service through which the App is offered. Each provider handles payment methods, purchasing account information, and transaction information under its own terms and privacy policy.

We do not directly obtain or store complete payment-card details through the App. The App may receive purchase-status information from the relevant app store or payment service to verify or restore FotoDocxel Pro entitlement.

6. Camera and Other Device Permissions

The App uses device camera, image-selection, storage, and sharing functions as necessary for capturing photos, selecting images, and saving or sharing files.

Users can review or change granted permissions in their device settings. Some functions may not be available without the necessary permissions.

7. Information Stored by Mintier

We do not maintain a FotoDocxel membership database or store photos, document contents, or converted files on our servers.

Advertising-related information is handled under the relevant advertising provider's systems and policies. App stores or payment service providers may retain purchase records as necessary to provide their services or comply with applicable law.

8. No Sale of User Information

We do not sell information relating to FotoDocxel users to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.

Information may be disclosed when required by law, pursuant to a lawful request by a court or authorized public body, or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.

9. Minors

Minors should obtain the consent of a parent or other legal representative where appropriate. Purchases of FotoDocxel Pro must comply with the requirements of the relevant app store or payment service and applicable law.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, third-party services, or applicable law. If a material change is made, we will notify users through the App or by another appropriate method.

12. Governing Law and Controlling Language

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Japan.

The Japanese version is the controlling version. If the English translation differs in meaning or interpretation, the Japanese version prevails to the extent permitted by applicable law.
